A wonderful iconic triple votive candelabrum in brass with amber smoky glass shades designed by Hans Agne Jakobsson for Markaryd, Sweden. This is a really elegant and refined design inspired by traditional Swedish oil lamps and Scandinavian modern aesthetics.
Hans- Agne Jakobsson (1919 - 2009) was a Swedish interior and furniture designer. He belonged to the masters of subdued lighting and worked with calm and soothing fixtures where the prerequisite was that light would be glare-free. His modern designs became particularly well known both at home and abroad during the 1950s and '60s. Many models became classics and are attractive collectibles today.
This is model L67 and has the original label on the bottom.
The condition of this piece is very good with only minor oxidation. One of the inner candle holders is a little loose but holds the centre and should not interfere with function.
